CLUBS : Defining Passion
The school provides a rich gamut of 32 clubs to cover almost all the areas for the students of classes I to VII. The clubs provide a platform to the students to explore the deep labyrinths of their capacities and capabilities and to identify their individuality and uniqueness. Through participation in various activities, the students hone varied leadership skills as organizational, interpersonal communication and get practical training in life skills. In addition, the students display brilliance of their pioneering ideas, nurture love and sensitivity towards their neighborhood and environment.
The rich gamut includes: Literary Club, Maths Club, Quiz Club, Eco. Club, Arya Yuva Samaj, Honey Bee Club, Dramatics Club, Health and Wellness Club, Reader’s Club, Traffic Awareness Club, Social Welfare Club.
Tours And Excursion
Police DAV has always believed in imparting education beyond the realm of academics and inculcating skills, so that the students emerge out to be completely independent individual. Various tours and trips are organised from time to time to teach them persistence, tenacity, teamwork, self expression and responsibility. The trips, of course, are rejuvenating and the memories that they carry are cherished forever.
Capacity Building Programme
During the Session 2016-17 three Capacity Building Workshops were held at DAV Cent. Sr. Sec. Public School, U/E, Jind under the aegis of DAV Regional Training Centre. Jind Zone separately for all subjects. These workshops are being organized by DAV to train the teachers and build expertise in their subjects by updating their knowledge and skills. The objective of this workshop was to review the teaching strategies, the teachers had learnt and their application in the classrooms. As many as 150 teachers from different DAV schools of the region participated in this workshop.
The workshops started with the recital of DAV song. The subject teachers proceeded to their respective venues where review sessions took place. In the closing ceremony, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, the school Head Master accorded a warm welcome to the participants. In his address Dr. D. Vidyarthi Ji, Regional Director lauded the efforts of enthusiastic participation of the teachers.
